Bristol is a thriving maritime city in the southwest of England, spanning the River Avon. Its former city-center port, the Harbourside, is now a cultural hub where the M Shed museum explores local social and industrial history. Restaurants, boutiques, and cultural institutions, such as the contemporary art gallery The Arnolfini, have been added to the harbour’s 19th-century warehouses.

Cannabis Laws in Bristol
In the United Kingdom, cannabis is classified as a Class C substance. It has the lightest penalties: a maximum of two years in prison and/or an infinite fine for possession, and a maximum of five years in prison and/or an unlimited fine for trafficking. Tranquilizers, mild stimulants, and mild opioid analgesics are all included (eg buprenorphine which is used in the treatment of opioid dependency). Liquid cannabis, cannabinol, and cannabinol derivatives (THC) are also included (as of Jan 29, 2004).
The cops aren’t interested in marijuana consumers, but they will arrest marijuana growers. Good luck to them in their efforts to eradicate heroin and crack use.
Although it is prohibited, if you are subtle, you can get away with it. Transgressors’ cache is usually confiscated, and they may be fined.
Where to buy marijuana in Bristol
Inquire around St Paul’s, St Werburgh’s, Easton, and Gloucester Rd. If you go to a reggae concert, you’ll probably only have to breathe in. Keep in mind that the neighborhoods where the goods are sold (particularly Easton and St Pauls) are notorious for drug activity and can be dangerous.
Fishponds is also a good place to buy marijuana, with a number of vendors and the possibility of asking student-looking folks (there are a lot of them at Fishponds). People are occasionally seen smoking in their gardens, rolling joints on the bus, and so forth.
