The Czech Republic has relatively moderate drug regulations, with cannabis being decriminalized. That means you can have up to 15 grams of marijuana on you and only pay a fee; it’s still illegal, but it’s no longer punishable. Fines of up to 15 000 CZK (about $680 USD) are possible, albeit they are uncommon. You’re also extremely likely to walk away from the situation with nothing more than a warning.

Prague has been dubbed the “Amsterdam of Eastern Europe,” yet this is far from the case. Many stoners simply smoke in public, despite the fact that this is illegal. If you don’t get too smug in Prague, you’ll be able to enjoy your trip and smokes without worrying about the cops.

Where to get Cannabis/weed in Prague

To get marijuana, simply keep an eye out for people who are smoking; if you are friendly, they will sell you some or point you in the right direction. Headshops are also a wonderful supplier, but they are beginning to adapt their image to be more legitimate. Never buy from street vendors who walk by and whisper “marijuana” like they do in Amsterdam. They’ll persuade you into it, say they spotted cops and can’t show you, then give you a half-second glimpse and sell you phony marijuana. This is a major issue that should never be purchased.

There is a significant number of people from all over the world, and the beer is inexpensive. Have a drink and ask the bartenders about it. If none of the dealers are present, be patient. They’ll show up every few hours or so. Expect to pay more than the locals, though.
